COVID Updates

11 June, 2020

Fully booked until end of August

I am now entirely booked until the last week of August. And the calendar is still filling up fast.

The demand for grooming sessions greatly surpassed what I projected, and what I can handle. I am not willing to compromise the quality of my work, so I'm investing in online tools to help.

New communication process and booking system

To cope with the avalanche of daily calls, it is better to communicate by email. In the meantime, software engineers are hard at work creating three new online tools:

  • new form to introduce you and your dog to get the ball rolling,

  • redesign the online the registration & consent form, and,

  • whole new appointment booking system.

The goal by shifting the exchanges online instead of the telephone will be faster response times for the administrative tasks. You should see some signs of these new tools in the coming weeks.

Hey - where's the Zen telephone number?

I always believed in excellent customer service but since the re-opening, it is impossible to maintain the normal pre-COVID level of interaction. So, I thought it best to move to email starting immediately. I'll shift to the new online tools as soon as they are available.

Thank you so very much for your support!

The good news!

We are finally open! With the relaxation of the COVID-19 closure rules, we have resumed our day-to-day operations.

The lesser good news

There is an unprecedented and overwhelming demand for grooming appointments at the moment. Of course I am flattered by the response. As you know, my operating model is one-on-one grooming (only one dog at a time). Plus, for everyone's safety including your dog, I have added new COVID-19 protocols for complete physical distancing.

So, because all of these factors, it is simply impossible to callback each and every one of you, and to fit you all in for a session. As of today, Monday June 1st, we are currently taking appointments starting in mid-July.

I really apologise for this. I know it is inconvenient and I truly understand that your dog has been without a good bath and tidy for a long time. These are extremely strange times and we all do our best to cope as well as we can.

Thank you so very much for your support and understanding,

Laurie
